We all know that if you are sign into your yahoo email account in a browser and want to check another yahoo email account in the same browser, than it's not possible. To check your 2 email accounts at a time from a same email service, either you have to sign out from the first email account and than log in to another account OR you have to use 2 different browsers, each email account in a seperate browser. It's the same for all the email services except Gmail.

Google gives you an option of Multiple Sign-in, using which you can sign in to multiple Gmail / Google accounts (upto 10 account) at a same time in the same browser.

How To Log In With Multiple Google / Gmail Accounts In The Same Browser

1. Sign in to a Gmail account.

2. Click the small arrow icon at the top right corner of the page or the picture and than click Add Account button.

3. Now provide your login details of another Gmail account and than click Sign In.

4. Once you are signed in to more than one account in same browser, you can either swtich between your email accounts on the same tab or can also open your email accounts in 2 different tabs.

5. To open another account in same or another tab, just click your email ID or small arrow at the top right corner of the page

6. And than click the Email ID you want to open on that tab.

7. Using this method you can add upto 10 Google accounts and than can easily swtich between them.

Important Notes

You can use the same method to sign in to following Google Products with Different Google IDs
  • Alerts
  • Calendar
  • Code
  • Docs (Google Apps accounts only)
  • Finance
  • Gmail
  • Google+
  • Google Moderator
  • Groups
  • iGoogle
  • Maps
  • News
  • Profiles
  • Reader
  • Sites
  • Voice
  • Web Search
  • YouTube
Other than these Google Services, you can't use Multiple Sign-In feature at other Google products like Blogger, Google Drive etc.

When you use Multiple Sign-in feature, the first Google ID which you use to Sign In at any Google Service (mentioned above) becomes your default ID. Using Multiple Sign-in, If you try to open any of the unsupported Google service (like Blogger, Google Drive etc), than you will automatically log in to that service with your default ID (the ID which you used at first).

If you are using Multiple Sign-in feature and you log out from any of the Google service while logged in to any other account, you will be signed out from of all your Google Accounts at once. For e.g. If you Log in with Multiple Google IDs into Gmail, signing out from Gmail from any of the Google ID will sign you out from all the other Google IDs as well.

Last Words

I am a hardcore use of Gmail and I use 3 or 4 Google accounts for different purposes. I found this feature quite useful and easy. Give it a try and than leave your Comments / Feedback below.
